We have a Vendo 407. It works fine if it is used everyday. When we have a long weekend, we come back to find the cans have burst.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thanks.

Probably a dumb question, but are they bursting because it is too cold in the machine and they freezing and bursting open?

Yes. It may be just as simple as the temp control, but don't know for sure.

Thanks.

Yep, sounds like a bad thermostat to me, or maybe a shorted out Thermostat wire harness...check it carefully, there is line voltage across the back of the "T-Stat it's wires.. ':O' (if the machine is plugged in that is....   turn the knob all the way clockwise & then counter-clockwise. & listen for a small "click" it might just be "stuck" or you had it turned down too Cold...
