What are peoples recommendations for Black Wrinkle paint for external coin boxes? Does rattle can paint provide a good finish, or would you use a gun?

If you have a gun use it. Will lay a thicker coat. If not rattle can and hope for the best.

Has anyone used the black wrinkle paint in a "rattle can" from funtronics?

Rattle can has its purposes... Price being a factor..  Its good for small parts... Not something I would use on a large area...lol.. Larger areas requirer a nice even flow..something you would have a hard time with by using a rattle can... Plus as far as durable... I would rank rattle can the least and powder coating the best..spray gun in the middle somewhere... The key to almost any type is propper prep of the item... just my 2 cents...good luck!!

I purchased wrinkle paint from a auto part store and it worked good, the key is to put it in front of a heat lamp after applying a heavy coat.
The wrinkle is tight and looks great.
