Cavalier 72 Main Door Not Shutting...

Having trouble with the main door on a Cavalier 72 not closing properly. Is there an adjustment for the handle? It looks pretty self explanatory??? Looks like the bar is a "U" shape and it fits inside the latching grove of the cabinet liner?
I will post a picture in the morning.

Is it a new door seal or an old machine? My vendo 56 shuts really hard and Is original.

I thought I had this problem before with a new gasket but it turns out it was my latch slipping out of the slot in the liner. I had to make a small liner adjustment and now all is well.

My Cavalier 72 can be a bear to close as well. Is the door & cabinet lining up? Maybe there is a problem with the hinges.
Someone here probably knows better than me; I am not sure if the handle/latch can be adjusted. I can take a few pictures if you need to see the closure assembly on another machine.

In the past ive removed the main door latch rod. Usually its bent or grooves cut in them from the liner from years of use. Straighten, and weld grooves back shut. This has always solved my problems with the 72/96
