now never get to see one of these over here in the UK......which is a shame,

looking over here for 50's or 60's kids stuff made out of cast alloy and its no

fun...

how rare are these in the states complete and working and is this price indicative or are they

usually higher or lower?

are there other cast kids machines too?  would like to get my hands on one to restore myself

have had metal pedal cars but no cast alloy type machines could be space/car/boat/anything

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Murray-Pedal-Car-Atomic-Missile-Jet-/160866590174?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2574655dde&nma=true&si=js3KL2sAaG6e5s7g26YcfrmHpTs%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

is this circa mid sixties space race type or earlier?

i am presuming its cast alloy

many thx

GP,
the rocket is mid 50's.  Reproductions of cars are being made,. i've seen some airplane repops, not sure on the rocket ships.
Tractors also seemed to be big, besides the fire trucks and police cars.

I don;t follow the pedal cars a much, but there is a bid, so i am guessing  the price is fair.

an american TV that will remain nameless "restored" one for a customer. . As i recall the atomic rocket was steel, trim peices may have been plastic.

That is actually a rare pedal car. Like everything here 5 years ago it was in high demand, now not so sure. Grade 1 restored one would bring in $3,500-$4,000 but now it's anyones guess.

hello everyone and thx for the replies

after further research it seems murray supplied same generic machine in a number of

different decal variants

the "Atomic Missile," the "Supersonic Jet," and the "Sky Rocket."

do any of you guys know where best to be able to source one,

apart from usual ebay and craigslist sources in usa. would these

be available say at chicago coinop too or at a different say pedal

car show?

thx again
