Other then having the tub and shelves replated, or powdercoated what else do you guys use. Im trying to keep cost down and everytime I take my stuff to a plate company they almost lose a part.

A low cost alternative is Hammered Paint finish,, or Hammerite is another brand. it's a spray paint that you can get any home depot type store.. about 6 bucks a can.

if you clean the items well enought and prep them the way it says on the can and apply the stuff properly it will give you a nice durable finish for a long time..

but note it is not as good as powder coating in my opion,,, and zinc plating if not done right will still rust after some time.. I am steearing away from zinc on all shelves and tubs and go to powder coating..

but a cheap and easy option that looks and holds up pretty well is the Hammered paint...
