Hello Everyone,

This is my first post and I am proud to say that I am now the owner of a USS-8-64.  A soda, or two exploded in the machine, (prior to my ownership) but now that it is all cleaned up inside it looks and COOLS great!!!!  Used dawn soap and elbow grease.

Now that everything is/was put together I noticed that I have a problem.  Here's the deal: essentially the compressor runs non-stop (does not cycle, or turn off).  It gets super cold (my meat thermometer says 30 degrees), but again, it does not cycle.  Additionally, I've noticed that when I turn the temperature control knob to off and then back on it "clicks" SEVERAL times before getting the compressor to start up again.

My question is: is this a thermostat issue?  I've attached a picture of what I believe is my thermostat.  Is this a simple fix?  Where can I get another thermostat like mine?

Thanks!

Welcome to the board!  The USS is a great machine, I've had many throughout the years, including my daily driver in the basement.

This should be the thermostat you are looking for: http://www.fun-tronicsllc.com/index.php?crn=304&rn=608&action=show_detail

It'll clamp right back in the same place that the original is, my machine cycles between 36 and 45 degrees, for reference.
