Hello again! So long story short, when I sold my 81, I was machine-less and haven't even thought about these things sadly for a while. There I am in Tennessee in an antique shop of all places, and I ran across this dual. It was mostly restored but the crank handle and coin mech are disassembled, and the wiring is shot. There is minimal suface rust inside, no beltline rust and none on the outside (repainted). I basically need new wiring, fans, decals, etc and I am all set. The guy sold it to me for a steal since he couldn't find anyone in his words that wasn't a drunk to be able to work on it anymore! Just brought her home today and am already tearing the cooling system apart. I know she isn't an 81, but for 600 bucks, this thing was a pretty good deal I think. Problem is now I am readdicted! Thanks to everyones help before, this rewire will be a breeze. The crank handle mechanism might be a chore though. I bought a manual, but I might have some questions. Glad to be back!!  tounge

Looks nice! The VMC-27's were my first and second machine to own - first the tabletop and then the dual.
Take the back baffle plate out and it will vend long necks.
I can help with the coin mech, so let me know when you are ready to tackle it.

Off the wagon for sure!

Thanks for the offer man, I will definitely get in touch if I can't figure it out. It is in good shape as well with no rust, but the assembly with the handle will be my first time. I know you are the coin mech man, and I have already learned a lot from your posts, so thanks!

So far this thing looks like it won't be all that hard to figure out. My major problem right now is the flat head screws won't come out and they are stripping. I haven't dealt with this before with my other machines. I might have to cut them out it looks like.
