http://cgi.ebay.com/COCA-COLA-VENDO-Coin-Changer-891-VERY-RARE-RARE-/290471962503?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a17a6787#ht_720wt_1137
I saw this listed on ebay, can someone please tell me what makes this coin changer so rare? Is it the fact that it has the wrong instruction decal on it? it's a real bargain at $3875.oo

That's easy....

It's so "RARE RARE" because it actually used to be a Vendo 39, took a little trip to see Rick in Vegas and you can see the results in this fantastic auction!  laugh

It's hard to let it die........

It's rare because there isn't another one anywhere in the world for sale for $3800

I think the best part of the ad is "You can pick up, no charge"

The original poles / bases I've seen don't look like that either.  I would like to see the rest of the stand to see if it is original or not.

Now if he was selling the 81 with it for that price I could understand.

I agree the original base for a vendo coin changer is not the embossed coca cola base we commonly see.  It is a very plain lookin base almost looks like a bottle cap w/o the ridges.
