I came across a coverted machine, the owner says it was beyond restoration so he converted it into a bar with space for cooling with ice. It's a Westinghouse Giant(used to be).The "body work" hasn't been changed he just changed the setup of the machine. All he did was put a stainless steel plate on the top where the doors were to make it into a counter(a bar). Now what to you guys think about this,is it collectible?I really don't know its a beauty and professionally done but I don't know if I should buy it? Hmmm!  How do you get your drinks? Ask everyone sitting, to lift their beers so you can open the lid for another?
Is it collectable? No. The size makes it unfeasable to use for home use. Too much floor space, and electricity if it had a refrigeration system. That's why the guy didn't restore it as original.
Should you buy it? Yes, if you are shopping for a bar, this is something you won't find in a department store.
Should you buy it only for resale? No. Coca Cola forbids anyone from modifying their product from it's original state.
I converted a similar machine into a couch and got a personal visit from Coca Cola and their lawyers. They proposed a $10,000 trademark infringement lawsuit. It's ok to keep for personal use, not to sell without their permission.
That being said, it would be a beautiful piece of furniture, but not a collectable.                      Glen

HEY Gustav, If you like it  get it.
the machine lost it's value when a new
top was put  on it and was turned into
a bar. The real question  that you have
to ask your self is do you have room for this
and will you use it a few time a year plus
do you like it. if they are YES  Then jump
if you can't say yes to all of them then you
don't need it.
