Similar to work, we have a small office of 9 employees and since I happen to know what a Hard Drive and Keyboard are.. I got voted to be I.T. guy.. and now everytime a computer takes more than a second to respond to a mouse click, i get , "John My computer is slow, can you come take a look"... ooohh who is me..

Been there, had it done to.  I never thought in 2009 I'd be reloading Windows 95 on a  machine. No, I wish I was kidding.
My reply to all requests at work is "Sure, Geek Squad over at Best Buy charges $75 an hour to look at a PC, I charge $60". Cash Please.

Back in my cubical days... Loved IT's consistent response "broke, not worth fixing, you fill out request form".
