Jim, do you have a WE6 wiring diagram/manual by chance?

Well it definitely sounds like it is low on its charge, but the only way to tell is to put a set of gauges on the system & check the pressure

I've tried using 2 lead switches on the old ballast and it never works .

Actually the old push-to-start 4-wire (manual lamp startrr)  type switch is a double function switch with a common push button, again, typically the switch has two sets of wires with different colors, black is usually the “on/off” section, while the alternate color (usually blue or red) is the momentary normally open switch, you can use the black pair as a regular old on/off switch while not hooking up the alternate pair (there is no voltage on that pair if it’s left open/unconnected anyway) so now your old 4-wire switch is just an on/off button... hope this helps

One thing to mention is that the ballast FunTronics sells only works when replacing it with the 2 lead switch.  The original Leviton 382 (4 Wire Switch) will NOT work with a new ballast.

K in compressor serial should be October and unless I am wrong it’s a 56 year . Look at Grand America Juke Box website and they have sections about these machines.
