Title: Vendorlator VF-125 help
Post by: Pepsivf125 on August 11, 2020, 10:52:48 pm
Hey everyone. I've been lurking on the site to try and find any info I can on my machine.
I've had it for 3 years with no issues.
Now I have the following issues.
Unplug/plug back in it will not vend. Put in .50 and soda will vend. Cannot put more quarters in stays free vend.  I don't think there is a problem with the coin mech.. am I wrong to think that One of these two relays could be bad?
Also, some of them will vend more than once.

I have never seen one like it. The Pepsi panel does not light up. This is an unknown year(to me)Vendorlator VF 125.

But now I'm quickly out of my stem knowledge with no manual to guide me.
I have uploaded two videos with my issue.

Also. During this time with not adding money, press a vendor button and you can hear the relay/ coil struggle and not dispense. Basically not allowing the gear to unlock and vend.
Then it will not take any more change.

I'm hoping for some guidance to start troubleshooting. Also and information on this particular

I have some YouTube videos showing the issue.

Maybe a bad delivery chute switch holding the credit relay closed allowing multiple vends.   your lighted Marquee/sign could be a bad ballast, bulb or starter , maybe even a cracked lamp socket{s} also check to make sure you haven't accidentally turn it off ( if it has the optional push-button style on/off switch located somewhere near the coinmech plug)

It's funny. This machine does not have a lighted Marquee. There are no wires or anything behind that panel.

How can I find what or where the delivery shoot switch is?

light mystery solved....

[chute] not "shoot"  ;p   somewhere along the bottle/can exit route once they drop out of the column(s) or directly attached to the delivery port flapper/door

Ha. I guess I could have been more clear with that statement. I meant mine does not light up, it's a solid panel. No components underneath. I haven't found another like it.

I'll take a look for that chute switch..

So I've done a lot more troubleshooting. Followed wiring diagram and everything is correct. All relays and micro switches seem to work except the vend motor micro switch.
I'm wondering if it would cause the issues I am having. It seams to be intermittent and causes coin vend relay to click on and off. Plus causes the " make another selection" lights to go on and off.
I have a micro switch coming. This is at least one issue I found...

Huge update..... After a month of troubleshooting I found that the vend motor micro switch failed. Aquired a replacement and voila...... No issues..  https://youtu.be/1_uFqxvtFqI (https://youtu.be/1_uFqxvtFqI)
