Title: Cooler finds of 2019
Post by: Eric on July 06, 2019, 03:46:56 pm
What I have gotten this year so far... the Nehi is a keeper the OC is a trader... Getting harder to find...
Both are solid and complete with original cap catchers... I have a correct original OC opener for the OC cooler.

Just brought home the other day. Yep, wrong cap catcher. Has rack and cools. Stripping it now.

Bob, are you up for a couple of questions about taking cooling box out of machine to replace insulation and clean up of cooling system.

I just sell parts. I’m not familiar with the restoration process.

I took my RC cooler apart and cleaned up inside and replaced insulation and coil around tank looked fine . Put it all back together and new rubber seals and all complete . Put a vacuum on cooling system and it held great , put the R12 in it and it would never start cooling, just lines frosty. Lesson learned finally figured out the cooling line around tank was slightly blocked with something that did not vacuum out . I would never take one apart again without changing all the coil lines . Just my opinion.
