Title: How does one remove the refrigeration out of aN Ideal 35?

Not sure how the lines are connected to the tub. Wanting to remove the entire assembly as a whole..

So nobody has ever taken apart a slider to restore???

        The bolts are removed from the bottom. Slide the compressor out far enough to service it but
 do not cut the lines if you are not prepared to do some serious refrigeration work.

That is my concern. How are the frig lines attached to the upper portion? I want to remove the tub as well but thinking the lines are attached somehow to the bottom.

I was able to break the lines loose on the sides by sliding a scraper along it after I removed the breaker strips. Then removed the tub . The coolant lines are back and forth and I was able to bring it all out the top with help .

Hmmm may have to rethink this. I can just see one of those lines getting broken in the process..

I chose not to restore sliders, mainly because of the same reason... pain in the Rear..

Yes remembering now an Ideal 55 I did some years ago when I was still new to the process. Was not able to do much to it but repaint, and at that taping off all the items that couldn't be removed. Not a lot of access to parts and the refrigeration system is encased.
