Title: Door Weight for a VFA56B
Post by: Pepsiboy on March 26, 2017, 08:05:50 am
Hello,
I purchased my first vending machine, a working square top VFA56B-B Pepsi machine. It appears the main door should simply lift off the hinges once opened. I didn't see any hinge clips or set screws that would prevent it from lifting upwards. I'm assuming the door has never been removed before. I almost tipped the entire machine backwards as I tried to lift the door.
What am I missing?
What's the door weigh?

Thanks!

Welcome to the board and a very nice 56 !!
PB Blaster to get the crude out of the hinges. A floor jack and a helper will get the door off. I would pull the lighted sign. Oops with the door could wipe it out. Never weighed one but would guess every bit of 80 Lbs.
Any questions/issues just ask.

Here's what I do:  Lubricate the hinges, then with an assistant.....open the door to 90 degrees and tip the whole machine forward.
