Title: Moving a machine Part 2
Post by: Creighton on November 12, 2012, 12:46:47 am
Check that the compressor is secure. If not pack with foam or rags to reduce flexing/vibration during transport.
On upright machines check that evap coil and lines are firmly attached as well.

Wrap machine in blankets and secure with bicycle tubes.
Move PVC pipe to the back of vehical and tilt machine until contact.
Roll as far forward into vehical as possible. Brace as needed.

Head home with your new toy.

Notes and disclaimers:
Never plug in a machine that shows signs of cracked/frayed or brittle wiring.
Do not use a skinny extension cord to test the machine.
If the cord at the wall socket or machine keeps getting warmer there is a problem. Unplug the machine.
After moving a machine it should be upright and level for 24 hrs. before plugging in and turning on.
Oil in the compressor needs to drain back to where it belongs.
My stab at it.
