Title: Coke machine needs help!
Post by: on April 07, 2002, 11:46:47 am
I just acquired the following Coca-Cola machine:
Serial#428664
Model#CSS-96F

Wondered what year it is, what it's worth restored, where I might find a lock/key  for fron door, some bottle trays, decals, etc.

Thanks!

Mattallyn:

Congrats on your aquisition! I have the same machine, and I love mine. :p

The CSS-96F is commonly referred to as a Cavalier Slant Shelf Coke Machine and was manufactured in the early to mid 60's (Jim, check me on this). While it's one of the larger versions of this series, I think it has a great classic look and you can't beat that flourescent lighted sign!

I don't have any value guides on the subject but I always considered a restored example of a CSS-96F to be worth in the $1000-$1500 range.

Call Steve at Fun-Tronics (see supplier section of this site) for a reproduction service manual for the "F" series slant shelf machines. He also has door keys, decals and some restoration parts.

Email me if you have any other questions. Enjoy!
