Title: Re: whats this? Post by: BrianB on September 04, 2009, 10:34:38 am I'm betting it's a Vendorlator. Take a closer Look at the Coin Return Bezel and the Coin Entry Bezel.
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: tkaz on September 05, 2009, 09:11:57 pm So does anyone have an idea of what this is? It looks like there's two columns of vending on the left. Not sure why its so interesting, but I think it looks kind of cool. It's about 20m from where I grew up, but a lot further now, otherwise I'd go check it out.
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: collecture on September 05, 2009, 10:27:54 pm Maybe it is a Cavalier?
The stack looks like the USS series machines where you twist a little knob to release the selection. Title: Re: whats this? Post by: bubba on September 06, 2009, 08:06:48 am CV also had a bottle stack similar to the USS.. This machine doesn't look exactly like it, but have a look at this one.. http://soda-machines.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=366&Itemid=14
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: Ginger Prince on September 06, 2009, 11:40:10 am come on you soda experts!
i thought it was vendorlator because of the bezels too but what is that stack all about?! Title: Re: whats this? Post by: tkaz on September 06, 2009, 12:35:44 pm I'm going to go with Choice Vend on this one...based on that other machine, and the location, its right in the area that the CV factory was. Looks like its only 5 selections, I assume the first hole is a 'preview', then you press the button for it to vend to the second hole?
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: GvtProprty on September 10, 2009, 09:30:42 pm Whatever it is he must have gotten prouder of it. It was 99 cents until I asked a couple of questions and now he changed the opening bid to 49.99 :veryangry:
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: bubba on September 10, 2009, 09:49:38 pm Those circles on the right might be for the vending.. kinda like the big knobs on the Cavalier USS machines..
Title: Re: whats this? Post by: tkaz on September 11, 2009, 12:32:27 pm So to followup, I got an answer from the seller, the machine is a Brewer-Titchener machine. Then I had to do some research on that, and I found this link:
http://books.google.com/books?id=dh8EAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA68&lpg=PA68&dq=Brewer+Titchener+vending&source=bl&ots=xOHBdOPmwR&sig=AP9TyTtsPWIHvXxyTJy8zSGIeo0&hl=en&ei=4oeqSuusFYf-sQOQmemGBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=3 (http://books.google.com/books?id=dh8EAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA68&lpg=PA68&dq=Brewer+Titchener+vending&source=bl&ots=xOHBdOPmwR&sig=AP9TyTtsPWIHvXxyTJy8zSGIeo0&hl=en&ei=4oeqSuusFYf-sQOQmemGBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=3) It's pretty interesting to read, Brewer-Titchener was bought by Seeburg, right after they bought Choice-Vend. There's a lot of other random vending stuff in that link as well, not sure if anyone has seen any of it before. Title: Re: whats this?
