Title: coke sign seals ? Post by: glassbuggy on August 17, 2009, 12:14:45 pm I am rebuilding the coke sign housing on my V63.
Fun Tronics has the signs , but where do I get new seals ? One borders the sign itself, the other thin seals (4 pcs) fit between the housing and the door Any ideas? Bart Title: Re: coke sign seals ? Post by: collecture on August 17, 2009, 02:07:21 pm I don't know of anyone reproducing it. I would bet you could substitute regular window weatherstripping. Doesn't need to be a tight seal as most machines will never be exposed to the elements again.

Title: Re: coke sign seals ? Post by: SIGNGUY on August 18, 2009, 08:22:32 pm I'd second what Tom Said, I'm a restorer as well, like many of us on this site, and weather stripping would be the best as reproduction of the original doesn't exist..

I am guessing you do not have the old seals, I actually just took my sign apart over the weekend and cleaned the old seals in a bucket with 409 and nail brush. I got the dirt off and then used the back side of the seals on the outside this time. They look brand new. Cheers, |
