Title: 1955 cooler Post by: cokentn on August 01, 2009, 09:32:02 am Hi,
Someone gave me this cool cooler. On the side it says 1955. I don't know if that's it's date or note, but it's embossed there. Anyway it is in really good shape except for a couple of places. It is structually sound as we have used it already. It even has the tray in the top still. And the drain cap is intact. #1; it has this rusted out spot on the bottom. #2; it has a dent in the side. Is there a way to fix these things, without spending a mint, and if so..how? Thanks! I really just want to repair that rusted out spot. bondo? To fix the rust you would almost need to restore the entire unit.
