Title: C-72 No Cooling Post by: kstt on July 11, 2009, 08:01:03 am I'm clueless about refrigeration. Here's what happened. A month ago, I went for a drink and found my machine to be very warm. After looking around, I saw that the evap motor was not running. I removed the motor, opened it up, and serviced it. I reassembled everything and was pleasantly surprised that the machine got down to 30 degrees in the next 24 hours. Two weeks later, I unplug the machine, as I am leaving for vaction. After 10 days, I plug it back in. 30 hours later, I go for a drink - WARM! The compressor is running (warm) as are the condenser fan, and the evap fan. The tubing from the compressor is cold, but nothing else is. WTF?
Title: Re: C-72 No Cooling Post by: johnieG on July 11, 2009, 03:17:11 pm Your thermostat may be stuck "on" & that would cause the compressor to run the full 30 hours & Ice over the evaporator, so no airflow= no cold air to chill the bottles. even though the fan is running.
