Title: Asteroids arcade game Post by: loman4ec on June 25, 2009, 08:36:29 am I have a guy that offered me an asteroids upright arcade game. He said it turns on but doesn't do anything after that. It just locks up. He took it out of a garage from a guy that wouldn't pay for a job that they did a long time ago. he said the cabinet is in good condition. He wants $100. I would be buying it only to try and get rid of it right away. Is it worth more than that or should I run away? He is pouring a driveway for my moms boyfriend and say me working on my jukebox in the garage and came in and offered it to me.

If cab is nice it is worth $100. May not be anything serious wrong with it (Loose display connection etc..). Working Asteroids are going for $500+. Even if its the main board, they can be repaired for about $100..

He finally told me it has been sitting in the back of a tractor trailer that he keeps in his back yard for over 5 years. I can't imagine it is in good condition. I have too many projects. besides the guy he got it from wouldn't pay for a job and he broke into his garage and stole it from his garage for payment. I don't think I want to mess with something like that.
