Title: Just Finished Restoring v56 7up Post by: choice120 on June 24, 2009, 08:09:36 am This was my 1st resto project and didnt come out to bad. I totally gutted the insides and dismantled the can rack. I went with hannertone for the inside but decided not to paint the outside of the machine. The paint on the outside along with the silk screen emblems were was in very good shape. Also leaving the outside as is added a nostalgic look to the machine. Here are some before and after pics. The can racke was disassembled sand blasted and coated with hammertone. Only problem I see now with this machine is the drain. The rubber on the drain has a lip and allows some water to stand which will create rust. Any ideas on replacing this drain because if it was flush with the liner the water would completely drain. What do you think I could get for this machine on todays market. Next project is the Royal crown I picked up the other day.

It depends a whole lot on where you are. In NJ, square tops don't sell for a whole lot..Title: Re: Just Finished Restoring v56 7up Post by: cokecolaman on June 24, 2009, 10:22:23 pm I think you could get a $200 - $300 out here (NorthWest)...not enough $$$ for how much time you have probably put into it.
