With good success, I have used a rag with Goof Off and then followed with a good soaking of Armor-All.

go to Murrays auto parts or Auto-zone & get yourself a bottle of Wesleys' bleach-white for cleaning white-wall tires, &  bag of fine-grade steelwool, wear gloves & get a bucket of hot water & spray it down, & soak the steelwool in hot water & scrub....you will be amazed on how quickley it will come clean.  wipe off the remains with some shop rags or old towels you dont care about.

PS don't over spray & breath the mist of the bleach-white, it will irritate your throat. & DON'T get it on the aluminum trim as it will stain in milky-white which is a real bugger to get off.

Or you can soak it in Gas and throw a match on it ..  THAT WILL CLEAN IT UP :tounge:
Sorry  felling a little tired & a little wired   :tounge: :tounge:

Johnie  is right the Wesley's works great.
