Title: Pull Lever Post by: David D on April 08, 2009, 08:05:59 pm Does anyone happen to have extra parts for a National Cigarette machine? I'm looking for one pull lever, I attached a photo below. I checked a couple machine shops and can get the part fabricated for $95, does this seem reasonable? It seems a bit high to me but I'm not familiar with machining processes/costs.

It is my understanding that the parts on the National Cigarette Machines are interchangeable between many of the models as the mechanisms did not change that much through the years. What machine are you restoring? Is it one of the older art-deco models from the 40's or is it one of the larger machines from the 60's? I am trying to pick up a couple of old National's from a guy here in Michigan for parts as I have a 7 pull and a 9 pull that I will be restoring. Starting the Consuline series, I think, National started using pulls with clear plastic knobs. He wants to sell them as a lot. He told me he would call me if he was going to scrap them. I will keep you posted.
