Title: Like a case study Post by: halehouse on April 07, 2009, 05:25:14 pm This is almost a perfect example of someone trying to get more than their machine is worth:

Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: Kilroy on April 07, 2009, 05:53:49 pm Wow, just wow.
Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: MoonDawg on April 07, 2009, 06:59:27 pm Did he say his machine has been restored?
Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: collecture on April 07, 2009, 10:18:46 pm Hey it belongs in a museum as it may be one of a kind! :tounge:
Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: mznb1u on April 07, 2009, 11:50:49 pm I saw that ad last night and I had to chuckle. Maybe if I change the coin mech setting and door sticker on my USS-8-64 from 35 cents to 15 cents it will also be worth $6,000 to $7,000 of course then it would not be an unrestored original. Damn--what should I do. Maybe I should watch more of the Antiques Road Show to get a better understanding of these matters! He certainly pulled out all the stops!

Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: dr galaga on April 08, 2009, 05:01:13 pm WOW, NOT EVEN ONE PERIOD AND MAYBE WITH THE MONEY HE GETS FROM THIS MACHINE HE CAN BUY A NEWER KEYBOARD THAN THE ONE THAT HE HAS FROM THE 70'S THAT DOESN'T DO LOWER CASE LETTERS :darn:
Title: Re: Like a case study Post by: mznb1u on April 08, 2009, 05:48:09 pm But John and Josh are your machines the rare 15 cent version or the more common 10 cent version??? :glare: That could mean the difference between $2,000 and $7,000!!!  8)
