Title: Compressor plate -What color? Post by: cokecolaman on March 30, 2009, 11:21:19 pm I am having my Vendo 81 redone, but I am not sure what the original color of the plate that holds the compressor and condensor was ...I have seen black, silver and a pinkish color. Which one is "more" accurate than the others? :help:

Title: Re: Compressor plate -What color? Post by: collecture on March 31, 2009, 08:40:28 am Most VMC's I've seen have the pinkish plate and most Westinghouse and Vendo's have the black plate from what I've seen.
My original 81A has a black plate. What model 81 are you doing? Title: Re: Compressor plate -What color? Post by: cokecolaman on March 31, 2009, 10:23:39 am It's an 81d. It's black now, but it looks like it was re-painted along time ago because the copper lines are black also.

same color as the inside of the machine. Makes it look smaller Title: Re: Compressor plate -What color? Post by: cokecolaman on March 31, 2009, 02:29:57 pm Thanks for the picture! It looks great that way also.

Here is a photo of my sliders 55 compressor area, and the hammer tone dark grey I like the darker grey. Do what you like . Pat Title: Re: Compressor plate -What color?
