Title: Coin Box Locks Post by: collecture on March 09, 2009, 01:03:52 am A question for everyone.
How many coin box locks have been on machines you've bought? There is always a knockout for a lock...sometimes the knockout is still there and sometimes not, but rarely is there a lock installed. The only machine that has actually had a lock on the coin box (when I bought it) is my SelectiVend S-48. How about you guys? Just curious Title: Re: Coin Box Locks Post by: SIGNGUY on March 09, 2009, 08:54:59 am I just tore down a Vendo81b this weekend, and it had a lock on the coin box... of course no key so had to drill it out... I am pretty sure I won't reinstall one..
First I've seen on all my restorations. John Title: Re: Coin Box Locks Post by: loman4ec on March 09, 2009, 09:10:58 am I have had one on a selectivend s47. and of course on sliders. They all have locks on the coin box :)

Only about half a dozen still had them by the time they got to me... The route operators removed them because they didn't want the fuss of opening two different locks. Those that remained must have been in places where the store keeper could be trusted to fill the machines but not trusted enough to collect the money....
