Title: 1890's Soda Fountain Drug Store Back Bar
Post by: collecture on March 05, 2009, 08:52:08 am
If I only had the room - cool piece!

Description Circa 1890s. Mirror was a back drop to a soda fountain from a country store in Ronceverte, West Virginia, a few miles from the Greenbrier Resort in Lewisburg. The George's Rexall Drug Store opened in 1898 and this wonderful piece of Americana has remained in the George Family until now. The cherry wood is in excellent condition. The mirror is stained and with losses. The lower right stained glass decoration is missing some pieces. Some, but not all, the missing pieces have been retained. Lighted. Condition (Excellent). Size 122" x 79".

There a dealer here in town that deals in original back bars, its a nice piece just to bad half of its missing? No lower cabinet area and countertop.
