Title: Looking for a 44
Post by: bmw90w on February 25, 2009, 05:43:49 pm
First off yes I know everyone wants one of these!! I sold my 39 the other day, and my wife said she wanted to get a 44!!  :drinking: That is unheard of for her to want a machine! Now that I have a green light, I am looking for a deal. If you come across one or have one to sell let me know. I would prefer good paint, as I am not great with body work. As long as it is complete and cools, that will work. I realize it will need a lot of other work! Pm me if any of you come across one. It would have to be a great deal though I am not unreasonable. Not necessarily a steal like the $450 one but a great deal. Thanks for any and all help. It may be a needle in a haystack, but it is worth the shot!!

When is the Chicago show? I might try to make it. If I can't that would be great if you would keep your eyes out. You should know I am serious! I have always wanted one. I saw one at auction here, but it went for crazy money. You know what good deals are John, and I trust you. Let me know. Thanks everyone for your help. Ill let you know if I see any other good deals around here as well. I made a vow to buy no more machines unless its a 44, then I am stopping. Yeah thats gonna happen

I got an extra I would sell for 1900. I can assist with shipping arrangements as well.

Thanks for the info on the show. do machines go for cheap there? Usually shows are full of dealers that are way too proud of stuff!!

Terry I will think about it thanks for the offer.

It's hit or miss with Chicago,, where talking about machines out in the lot before the show, none of the fancy restored stuff...
I think I passed a couple of 44's last year for around 1200 or so.. good shape, complete but needed restoration.. I just didn't have the need for them at that point...
pm if interested as I could arrange something before the show for you.
John

I have a 44 for sale!

Fairly rough shape - needs beltline rust repair and most likely the bottom of the liner and lower plate replacement. Compressor cools and cycles. It is complete except for the rejector (I have one for you), bottle chute and chute guard. I bought the machine for those pieces and am just passing a pretty good deal onto any of you. I can work out something with the buyer/member if they want to use my parts for a pattern. I did also promise SMC member 'Vendo 39' the bezel and coin return, but hooked him up with another bezel for sale. He has received shipping confirmation, but has not received the bezel as of yet. If for some odd reason he does not get it, then this machine will be without the bezel and priced accordingly. I do not think that will happen though and will be a moot point, but I thought I should mention it.
I do not have it here in AZ - Ken (SMC member 'bubba') has it in NJ. He has a dock available and can palletize it for you if that make it easy for you.

I am only asking $950 ($800 without the bezel).
Eric? Turning 44 this year! You got a good body guy from the looks of your Nickol Cola. BTW - Is that done yet?
Ken said he will take better pics tomorrow, but here are a few.
PM or email me if interested.
Thanks!

Ken is supposed to send me close-up pics of the coin mech too. I think it is complete, but I'll give it a going over and working condition (or restore for a extra fee) for the buyer if you just pay the return shipping from me to you ($25-$40 depending on zip).

I have never seen the machine in person. If you have any specific questions about it, ask bubba and I'm sure he'll be straight shooting with you about it.
Thanks
