Title: Atlas Post by: on August 09, 2003, 06:58:54 pm I am searching for information on a coke machine manufacturer called ATLAS.I believe the real name was "ATLAS TOOL AND MANUFACTURING".Started in ST. LOUIS then moved to DALLAS.They made coke machines from the 1930's to 1950's.Does anybody know where I can find info on their machines or where I could buy parts?I would appreciate any help!......phrebba.............

And yes, Altas information can be very difficult to locate! What information are you looking to acquire? I'm not sure what parts you're looking for but you'll have to search high and low for parts. What model Atlas cooler(s) do you have? Title: Atlas Post by: on August 13, 2003, 06:26:40 am I do not know the exact model #.It is not in my possession yet.It does have a brass tag on it that says 2779 on it.It is a chest type cooler,and will either take 2 nickles or 1 dime.I don't need any parts yet,but do like to be prepared.I am trying to find ANY info I can.Thanks.

What additional information are you seeking? Year of Manufacture, Model... Once you know the model, you could contact various Parts Suppliers to see if any have a service manual... Title: Atlas Post by: on August 19, 2003, 08:29:33 am I was told this is an "ATLAS SENIOR" style cooler,but do not know how to verify this.Cannot find model # on this machine.Tag on this machine says"Manufactured by"ATLAS METAL WORKS",DALLAS, TEXAS.Serial #EC8434J.These are some other pictures.I would like to find year of manufacture,model # and a manual.If anybody can help I certainly would appreciate it.

Thanks,I really like it too.Why is it soo hard to find info?Right now it is more for show.I have a pepsi machine from the early 60's that I let the kids and their friends use.They think it's the coolest(he he) thing they ever saw.It takes 8,10 or 12oz. bottles.The expression on their faces is worth $1,000,000. Why is it so hard to find out about? How about small manufacturer, limited distribution area, short company life span. Any or all of them. Your pictures shows a good looking machine in good shape. And, for all the reasons that make it difficult to find out about, make it rare, unique, and special. Hang in there and enjoy knowing that you have something special. Title: Atlas Post by: on August 21, 2003, 08:42:13 pm This"ATLAS" cooler is 39"Long x39" tall x19"deep.I talked to a couple of people and they said according to "JEFF WALTERS BOOK",it is an"ATLAS JUNIOR ELECTRIC" cooler with a 10 cent coin unit.The coin unit is manufactured by "NATIONAL COIN UNIT(NATIONAL REJECTORS INC.).It was made from the mid to late 1950's.
