Can someone help me? Is a AMI Model G Multi Horn, High Fidelity 40-80-120 selection a good jukebox? What are they worth?

Not as a popular as a Seeburg or Wurlitzer  of the same time (1955-56) but holds more records (60 45's  both sides  - 120 songs) as compared to the 50  the Seeburg G, W or R  could hold.

Often called "the fish tank", boxy and a lot of glass.  It's a love/hate opinion on the style.  It has a visible mech, you will se the records selected, laid on the turntable, played, returned, and that is high on the cool factor.

Suprise, the market dropped on jukeboxes as badly as pop machines, If you're looking for a flip, hold your money, and look for a  mid 50's seeburg or Wuly,  The MAI's aren't as popular, motly because of the cool factor.  For the Game Room,  it'ss a good machine, visible mech, holds more records.
Working, no major parts missing, I've seen them lately try to sell for 1000 and sit, so  shrug  500- 750?

That site has been around a long time I remember having it as a favourite years ago
when I first got into Jukes....

I've never had an AMI but the quality of sound from them is supposed to be excellent.
Personally I think they are a great 50's starter box. But once you have it you'll want more.
So if you are looking for a personal juke and you REALLY only want one I'd perhaps pitch for
something like The Seeburg J or R or even my own favourite the Wurly 1900 (poor man's 2000)

Prices for jukes this side of the water have dropped considerably over the last five years... Once upon a time you'd have to have had a very good realtionship with your bank manager to get one. Now they can be had for not much more than the price of a good stereo system... So probably not the best investment... But they really are a WOW magnet....

The AMI's aren't as desired as a Seeburg or Wurly (Wurlitzer) of the same era, which means you can get them at really reasonable prices, but unloading them is a  long wait, and repro parts are almost non existent. But yeah, the sound is  great, and any pre 60's jukebox in my opinion is high on the cool meter

My buddy who is helping restore my Seeburg sold his boat last summer. The buyer was a young twenty something lass.  With a few jukes in the garage, there are always parts laying around, including 45's  we pulled out of a recently purchased machine.

The young lady picked up a 45, and asked , stone cold serious , "what's this?"   He was in a funk feeling old for weeks afterward.  On the plus side, she was introduced to a record playing juke, and thought it was the coolest.

  Not much value to the AMI G, $200-$400, though they do sound very good. The 200 select model is worth a bit more. As far as the 50's boxes go, the sound is good, but they aren't very desireable. Kinda looks like a big fish tank.

Regardless of the price it has to be complete,  and working. Repro parts for the AMI's are limited, again because of they just aren't as popular as other models.

It's no different than a soda machine -  the model  may not be popular, but if you like it, that's what matters
