Title: Sandblasting vendo 90
Post by: obs48167 on February 03, 2009, 08:27:11 pm
Newbie:

This site is very helpful,
Its great that so many are really interested in helping others that are new to machines.
I'm in Detroit area does, any one know where I can get a machine sandblasted, and what should I be paying sandblasting?

Also does any know, any one that can work on the cooling systems...

Thank you for the help

Mark

Mark,
On behalf of the SMC Michigan Mafia, welcome aboard!

Check out local bodyshops for sand blasting, the economy in the dumper, they would welcome a side job.
What's going on with the refrigeration system? it may be something you can do your self.

And a Seeburg  B? tre kewl, working on restoring a Seeburg G,  it will look good next to my Vendo 39

Mark,

Welcome aboard and welcome to the SMC Michigan Mafia.  I expect nothing from you now; but, someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me.  8)

Here is a picture from our last meeting.  This will help you spot us when you are out and about looking for deals on machines.

Make sure that whoever you use to do your sandblasting is careful not to warp the metal.  :veryangry: You might want to ask about soda-blasting when you check with the body shops.

Welcome to the board and welcome to the MICHIGAN MAFIA
I think I saw something on Craigslist in the Detroit Area under Coke that someone works on
the cooling systems .  As Far as the Blasting , soda Blasting is the way to go
to remove the paint  and sand blast the rusted areas  but be carefull like every one said
you can warp the metal.
