I might have some embossed panels that where cut from a picnic cooler that I could sell? That's an idea The space is 5 1/2" X 13 1/2" There has to be a die in existence to replicate these, I imagine they would be needed for almost all of the wd10's out there. It's pretty rare to find these intact with machines. They rusted out most of the time.Let me know John Title: Re: WD-10 lid "license plates" Post by: johnieG on December 18, 2008, 09:43:58 pm The reproduction of the sign isn't hard, it's getting permission from Coca~Cola that is the proverbial "Camel throught a needles eye". Even if you happen to own the original Die-set, you can't make any without Cokes' OK. (legally anyway)
Title: Re: WD-10 lid "license plates" Post by: coke_and_stuff on December 18, 2008, 11:55:08 pm Technically they could be made, as its in the restoration of a original Coca Cola machine, You however cannot make them and sell them without a license. or make them and stick them on a candy machine, cash register, or gumball machine and pass them off.
My local signmaker HAS a license and legally can make me decals for my Coke Machines, he cannot legally make me decals for other uses. he actually contacted Coke and they gave the a ok on anything originally coke as long as its a restoration and not fantasy. The only person or people who could make this and legally sell it would be Funtronics, Or someone with the capabilitys and license with permission from Coke. What size are they? Title: Re: WD-10 lid "license plates" Post by: red-hungarian on November 13, 2011, 05:42:26 pm I found my plates, it only took 3 years
Title: Re: WD-10 lid "license plates" Post by: Slapshot42 on November 14, 2011, 03:00:01 am I have nearly completed a full restoration on this machine, including refridgeration. Mine was all orginal and did NOT come with the liscense plates on the lid liners. I believe the reproduction lids liners
with a raised portion on the lid liner to put the liscence plate on them. If anybody has an extra set, or the capabilities of making a set I would be interested... If anybody has anh other parts for this machine I need some please PM me. |
