Title: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: zadd on December 04, 2008, 07:09:42 am I recently bought a coin mech of EBay and I got it yesterday and everything looks great the problem is that some one has removed the collar on the flapper shaft . Can this be replace from another mech or just fabricate one . Any advice would be great . Thanks

If you can get me a picture of what you need, I can look. I plan on listing these in a single auction tonight.

I was going to see if you might want to trade your Ideal 35 coin mech you talked about for the mech that came off my machine ? I also have an extra 15 cent coin mech backing plate and mechs I will throw in . I mainly need the collar for the mech I just bought . Let me know if you can help . Thanks Joey

Do yo know how to change out the sleeve, is it even possible ? I looked at my extra one and don't see how to remove it . I still don't know how they removed the one on the new mech unless there a little diferent .Thanks Joey
Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: MoonDawg on December 05, 2008, 11:47:52 am I'm not really sure you need that full collar to make it work. That small one on
your mech looks to be placed properly to keep the shaft centered. Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: coke_and_stuff on December 05, 2008, 12:10:26 pm I have no idea?? I would think you could get it to work??
Joey Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: zadd on December 05, 2008, 05:16:22 pm The shaft itself has about an inch of play . If you mount it to the flapper it kinda floats and isn't stable . I know I could figure something out on making it work . I was just wondering how they removed it and if I could remove one from a doner mech ? :upside:
Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: zadd on December 05, 2008, 09:37:22 pm If anyone has this style of coin mech . I would be interested how the sleeve is put together It looks like it was easly removed . I tried to put one off of a doner mech after a lot of work and the sleeve is slightly different . :help:
Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: MoonDawg on December 06, 2008, 12:57:50 pm Doesn't look too easily removed to me!
Title: Re: Glasco /Ideal 55 coin mech Post by: zadd on December 06, 2008, 05:10:58 pm That's a different style, the one in your pick is the same as my donor mech . I just cut the sleeve off the shaft and drilled out one end and slid it on the one in question and bolted on the mech and it works fine . Thanks guy's for your help .
