Title: WC-78-MD Door Parts
Post by: BDockham on November 27, 2008, 06:12:01 pm
Where is a good place to find replacement parts for this machine?  I am missing the part on the inner door that connects the selector knob to the main rod that leads to the racks (if that makes sense).

Besides this, I'm sure I'll need more parts before all is said and done.  I'm new to this and any advice is appreciated.

Yes. Me...      I have a complete WC-78-MD door assembly for parts.

I have a few parts as well if Johnnie does not have what you need.

Here's a pic of the door to confirm which part I need.  How much for the part?

I was also hoping to find the metal coin catcher since it's missing - in addition, I may need to replace/fix the vend motor.

At least it gets cold - probably the only real working aspect at this point!

Thanks for the help...

Dan

The vend motor will be a tough replacement, as they are not made.  A discussion thread was on here about these and some one suggested taking the motor to an electrical shop and having it re-wound.

I may have a vend motor, I just picked up a complete westinghouse machine. Its a 6 selection push button that could vend cans or bottles. There is no tag on it so I have no idea what the model # is.

Well, luckily the selector motor is working fine - got the machine vending w/o any problems.  Once I can get the part for the selector assembly I'll be all set!
