Title: Vendo Coin Changer ?
Post by: Sodak Bob on September 26, 2008, 02:45:02 pm
I just had Tom go through the mech on this VCC (thanks), now I am looking at getting it re-chromed.  I like the "old look" but this looks pretty tough.  Any ideas on cleaning or who to re-chrome it..  No heavy pitting ...   Is it impossible to find a key...  Thanks in advance..

Also, I had an original plexi insert cover, but only had 3 of the decorative screws.
Anybody have one extra for Bob?

Your welcome Bob!

I dont have the decorative screws, but I do have an original key for the original style mounting brackets. The key locks the coin changer onto the wall bracket.

Luckily, the original wall bracket and screw that holds it are in place - so far, I need a key for the main lock, one screw for the plexiglass, and info on re-chroming..   Thanks

Can't beat speed and sport's chrome. These are really easy to restore! lock and screws are avail. through funtronics. Soda Jerk Works probably has the screws as well.

Well.. if you get the faces rechromed might as well go with the new screws too... paint looks good...
They also carry the coin box if yours doesn't have one..... gonna be killer!
I'll print out some of the inserts and send them your way...

I just started restoring one of these last week.  I'm sure I can find the old screws if you want them.  I like shiny ones!
