Title: Ideal 35 Door hinge Post by: David D on September 18, 2008, 10:04:53 pm I'm starting to restore this ideal 35, has anyone removed the side door from a ideal slider? Are the hinges held to the machine body with rivets? attached picture. I'm assuming I'd drill these out then replace with screws or bolts any suggestions?

hinges. You could re-install with pop-rivets if you have a hand rivet gun. Or you could use nuts and bolts to join the hinges to the body if you have the breaker strip out. The inside of the door is lined with wood so screws can be drilled directly into it.
