Title: Vendo 110's is there truly an A and a B model? Post by: SIGNGUY on August 11, 2008, 02:20:38 pm I was looking at some photos of some Vendo 110's that a guy wants me to restore.. and I've owned 4 of these big guys in the past but never noticed the embossed lettering... there are two placements of the letting on top, just like on the Vendo 81's... one is centered in the middle of the WHole machine (like and 81a), then there is another that has the lettering centered between the edge of the bottle door and end of machine (like the B/D Vendo 81's)
neve noticed it before? are the model numbers different?? :glare: Title: Re: Vendo 110's is there truly an A and a B model? Post by: RC kid on August 12, 2008, 11:24:02 am Wow! I never knew that.
I love these big machines. They are still affordable. Title: Re: Vendo 110's is there truly an A and a B model? Post by: Larry on August 15, 2008, 04:54:07 pm I looked at my Vendo 110 name plate today and it is a H110c. It is from 1955. All red. Not sure about the embossing being left or right.

Being more informed on older machines, I like learning new things about the older models! Seems to me that if it's possible on the 81's, why couldn't this happen with 110's...? A design flaw that wasn't retooled until later in subsequent years... Title: Re: Vendo 110's is there truly an A and a B model? Post by: collecture on August 15, 2008, 09:54:59 pm I looked at pictures of both the all-red 110's I've owned and the embossing was off-center on both. I've never owned a late model 110.
Seems to make sense though - center the 81 and also center the other side door models. The 39, 80 and many other already center-embossed models wouldn't need such a modification. |
