I have heard that you can bead-blast the clear glass to give it the frosted finish, but it is not easy beading glass.
The glass in the bottle door was originally just on the exterior - the two (2) other panes [inner and middle pieces] were originally plexi-glass. Most people just use three (3) glass panes as it brightens up the bottle selections better and is easier to clean without scratching. A new bottle door gasket can be obtained from Fun-Tronics (301) 371-5246 or www.sodajerkworks.com, both sponsors of this site. Title: Re: Parts needed for Vendo 81 Post by: johnieG on July 21, 2008, 10:55:32 pm at stained-glass supplier shops, you can get a spray solution ( Fluoric acid) that will etch/frost glass ( it's not just a paint or plastic coating, or many shops will be happy to do it for you if you purchase the solution from them for a very small fee. but be carefull , it will eat you & other stuff, including glass!
