Title: Dating my C-51 Post by: Pinsanon on June 23, 2008, 12:34:12 pm Having seen another thread with how to use a serial number to work out the date on their machine. Is this possible with the Cavaliers?

As far as I know, the serial number dating technique only works on Vendo machines. Unfortunately, the other manufacturers didn't make dating their machines nearly as easy! Your machine looks really unique having the C-102 looking door! I like it! I'm getting ready to restore my Pre-war British candy vendor that I just got (with Dave's help), so I know the challenge of finding info on things from across the pond! With Cavaliers, or Vendolators, you may find the years of production on web sites or in a Jeff Walter's Soda Machine Book Oh, welcome to the boards. And it's a cool machine. Steve Ebner at Funtronics has a code sheet for the Cavalier 51. If you tell him the serial #, he can tell you the month and year. I don't think there was any pattern to it like the Vendos.
