Yep the earphones they come with are junk. Go buy a good pair of in ear phones from Best buy or even ebay. I just bought a pair of Sony's and I love them. I strongly recommend the type that have a rubber piece that fits into the ear. They give much better sound quality and are much more comfortable.

Besides itune what is the best place to find music?

I like audiobooks best.

I have always used Itunes but now that I just bought a car here in Singapore I am really kicking myself. All of the music you buy on Itunes is in a special format and cannot be burned to a CD to be used in a car or any CD player. My car stereo does not have any external inputs so I cannot hook up my Ipod. I bought an FM modulator but the sound quality is terrible. So if you want to use your music anywhere other than on your Ipod buy from somewhere other than Itunes. I have heard that Amazon.com has a good MP3 music storebut I have never used it.

I don't know what your doing different, but I can burn any play-list from itunes to a CD and play in my car or home stereo. Some newer Cd's burns won't play in older CD players and CD devices.  :Oo: I what I've experienced .

Are you burning music that you have imported from an existing CD or music that you have downloaded from Itunes. The music downloaded from itunes I had heard is in a special format and cannot be used in anything other than an Ipod

What is the play count for on the itunes window where all the titles show up?
Is it an honesty system of how many times it's played or what?

I think I'm the last person without an Ipod, but I think the play count is more a stat for you. I think it creates a "favorites" playlist of mostly played songs...

Just wondered since I also buy alot of clipart on the net and their tou states only 200 uses per year, wasnt sure if it had a hidden agenda in the play count...

No, Ken, you aren't the last!  I'm not sure I would even know how to work one if it was handed to me!  I guess I had better catch up with the times and get rid of my Walkman!   :tounge:

No there is no limit on plays on songs purchased from Itunes. If there was I would be in trouble. I would have my Ipod surgically implanted if I could

Before my brother died, he still listened to his garage band recordings on a reel to reel.

I hated that thing.
