We all started with the easy to find machines like yours, but don't plan on
getting rich by restoring it!
Right now your machine should be worth $100 to $250. You would be very
lucky to get $1500. after restoration if you were to sell it privately, and maybe
up to $500 more if it were red with Coca Cola decals on it.
Go ahead and have fun, but just be careful how much money you sink
into it.

Aside from the above (which is all good), compare costs/benefits between various options (ie. zinc plating or painting the interior vs. powder-coating) etc.
Careful what you do to the individual bottle stack parts though (coating thickness matters). When you get to that step, check in again (lots more advice at SMC on that subject).
