Anyone know of a good online forum for sharing info on jukes? Parts, troubleshooting, locating folks willing to service, etc.? I have a 1962 Seeburg DS160. Working fine now, but would like to have resouces available for the future.

Yep, it's about the only one that I know of that is dedicated just to juke's. It's not quite like here, not quite advanced. It's called the "Jukebox-List" You basically sign up for it and you gain the ability to post questions. Even prior to joining, I had a lot of success just browsing the archives looking for posts that covered my particular problem.

I belonged to that forum about eight years ago and it was great...
Over the years it lost its friendliness... In the end I found that, unless you were a real techy
they didn't want to help... Not like here where the stupidist of questions gets answered
with a smile and no gloating...

There are two Yahoo groups I know of, Search  for "Wwrlitzer and Seeburg".  Seeburg  requires admin approval,  I've been waiting for a month.  Very knowledgeable  and friendly people  i've found  in the Wurlitzer group, and yes they are  juke junkies, so  don't let their name scare you off.

I have to second Dave's opinion of the jukebox list,, knowledgeable, but gosh forbid if you  don't word you're  question  correctly, and  golly, it's 2008,  look into  some forum software already.  I end up using google to search their archives, there is no  master index or search function, your other option is opening each month's archive , tedious.

The DS160 is a cool machine, and going up in value, so hold on to that puppy. It was one of the last models Seeburg  madw with the exposed record mech.  Do you have the  ear speakers? If you find them cheap, grab them. They  are going for $200-$300 a pair
Sorry, Jukes are my second passion next to soda machines, and I am working with a friend to rpeop parts not available.

The manuals for the 160 are available from Victory and  JukeboxUSA, high quality, not a zerox  print that often show up on Ebay.    There are also several  shops in the Netherlands, Germany and  the UK,   

My suggestion, holds on to  to your 160 for a while, the early 60's  Seeburgs are starting to rise in value, much like the squaretops.

Yes, Kilroy, my DS has the original "ears" attached. Seems to be in pretty good shape. After I bought it 5 years ago, I found an retired Seeburg repair man about an hour away, who came out and gave it a good once-over. The poor fellow was running out of gas then, though, and I doubt I'll ever be able to aquire his services again.

There's also the Google Newsgroup... Alt.Collecting-Jukeboxes , doesn't get too much activity though.
