Title: let's get started (see the progress of restoraution) Post by: FouFF on May 20, 2008, 08:20:50 pm Hi
I'm new in the hobby I just have a pepsi machine ( hope you like pepsi :tounge: ) that I what to restore from top to bottom, sandblast, new paint and everything. I have a few questions first, I want to know what is the exact name of this machine ? ( see picture ) I know it's a square top. (sorry for the quality of the picture, it was taken by the other owner.) description on the plate Model VF56B-B serial # 609058993 vendolator mfg. co. after that the coinco coinmech isn't working, it's a model S75-9800, & the main electronic board is damaged, two 2 pieces are burnt on it :( As for the cooling system, it's working pretty good, but I didn't take the temperature, but it's colder than my fridge . thanks for helping a newbie in this hobby. Title: Re: let's qet start Post by: FouFF on May 20, 2008, 08:55:10 pm Ok found that this soda machine is a vendo 56 got this for now
Title: Re: let's qet start Post by: Creighton on May 20, 2008, 09:43:18 pm Welcome to the board! You can find a coin mech on eBay for $40 or so. A search on "Free Vend Switch" will show you how to vend without the coin mech.
If the bottle rack sticks a good cleaning with CLR and a dab of white lithum grease on the moving parts will work wonders. The cooling fins need to be clean and it is a good idea to replace both fans. The board sponsors will have the fans. Great machines. Any questions just ask. for the color match paint my machine is 3 color is someone now the color number ? And for the rad and the condensor is there a trick for cleanning this? thanks Title: Re: let's qet start Post by: collecture on May 21, 2008, 05:16:12 pm And for the rad and the condensor is there a trick for cleanning this? It is easy to remove the thing. I usually remove all of the wiring, fans, etc. and use a garden hose spray gun to it with some soapy water - rinse - maybe strighten some really distorted fins and spray the fins again. Clean the compressor contacts - install new fans and wiring and reinstall. Title: Re: let's qet start Post by: FouFF on May 21, 2008, 07:22:26 pm good thanks
and for the color code someone have it's info?? get close to the colors you may not have a dead on match, But the whole thing is you have to like it and thats all that counts. As far as the decals those are water release decal if you want vinyl you may want to look for a graphic art shop to make those decals , the Vinyl will last longer and look better to. Pat  Title: Re: let's get started Post by: FouFF on May 22, 2008, 10:42:30 pm Paint code I can't help with, but the side decals can be had at www.sodajerkworks.com Good luck with the resto! I will take a look And looks to be a Hurst RR at that.
