Post by: cokentn on April 27, 2008, 06:55:04 pm
What does this deposit sticker say? Does anyone know or remember?

I found the coin sticker on  Ebay...shipping it tomorrow.
Thanks!

It probably was a 5-cent deposit per bottle sticker/label, these were common on machines in areas like laundry mats & others where they'd expect you to leave the bottle behind after drinking it, otherwise, they'd be charge for the missing empty. it was likely removed whenthe deposit charge went up to 10-cents, or they (Coke) switched to non-returnable/rfillable  bottles ( called one-way bottles) which you didn't paya  deposit on in the first place.

To keep it authentic looking, and dated, I was going to make one in Photoshop, but I don't know what the actual words are on the part that is gone.
So maybe it was just a "5 cent (sign)" that is gone?

Why not copy the deposit sticker below on the coin door, just add the 5 cent part that has been removed?

Right...do you think that is all that is gone? The 5 cent (sign)? Then the writing that is on there to the right that is left on the sticker?
