What are people thinking.... why even waste the money listing something like this... I hope he posts my question to him. I told him I am interested, I think his price is fair but I'm a little concerned about the shipping costs... seemed a little high to me at 193.00... I mean C'mon... Priority mail for about 6 bucks... Geez :glare: Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: Sodaman101 on April 22, 2008, 12:20:51 am And it looks to be perched atop a Crown Royal bottle cover :Oo: . Cause nothing says luxury and quality like a crown royal bottle cover. Im getting chills as I type Oh the Luxury and decadence that can be expressed( touched upon if you will) via this auction. It's beyond compare. Either way I will be sure and BID LOL
Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: 90grad on April 22, 2008, 05:03:58 am I guess I didn't fare as well in American History as I had thought. Seems this guy has corrected me on the following facts:
1. World War TWO was being fought in 1915. 2. The Great Depression was underway in 1915. What was I thinking? :glare: Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: BrianB on April 22, 2008, 05:05:30 am Hahaha!!!

Post by: Larry on April 22, 2008, 06:50:19 am Yeah, I thought the same as you guys. The price is right, but the shipping was just a little too high, and everybody knows that we were fighting Korea in 1915!

Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: SIGNGUY on April 22, 2008, 08:46:46 am He responded to my inquiry about the shipping... simply said, "Thank you for your concern, good luck bidding"
As if there will be a bidding war!!! Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: halehouse on April 22, 2008, 04:47:57 pm My school must have been really bad. I thought that we were fighting the war of 1812 in 1915.
Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: Eric on April 22, 2008, 08:49:40 pm Just asked my grandma and she said the depression wasn't great at all...
So I'm begining to wonder if they really know what they're talking about. :glare: Title: Re: Now this is a Bargain!!! Post by: mznb1u on April 22, 2008, 09:58:16 pm WWII or Korea in 1915? I thought we were negotiating the Louisiana Purchase back then?!?!?!
I saw a listing on E-bay the other day for a red & white V-39 and the guy had it listed at $25,000. I e-mailed him and asked if he meant to list it at $2,500 (still too high) and he changed it right away. Not that I am an expert but after being involved in this hobby for just a few months and doing a lot of reading and web surfing, it seems like a lot of people have a very opinion of the value of their "rare" machines that are not all that "rare" after all!
