Title: Groovy 7-UP Machine
Post by: mznb1u on April 20, 2008, 01:34:35 am
Seems like a lot of money for this machine but I love the "Flower Power--Magical Mystery Tour" inspired graphics!

"0" feedback sellers always think their machine is gold - way overpriced...
I think it is a 117
I think Peter Max is the artist - famous 60's artist - still around today.

The door is on the wrong side for a 117. It is a Selectivend. the machine is worth about $200 max. Cool sign but it is way overpriced.

Here is the Peter Max website - pretty cool retro art

http://www.petermax.com/

I have one of his original 60's posters - my wife calls it the 'Satanic Lincoln'.
I believe PM was famous for being able to draw perfectly symetrical images with both hands simultaneously. My poster is a symetrical image with cat faces for eyes, top hat, bowtie, etc.
I'll try to snap an image sometime - gotta find it - I think it is buried in the back of a closet right now.

I like the machine not the price.
