Title: Question on fabricating a door liner for a CS 64
Post by: James on March 30, 2008, 09:05:43 pm
My door liner is beyond repair.  Funtronics or Soda Jerk does not sell the one I need.
I'm going to make one from sheet metal.  Probably .060 CRS thick with a powder coated finish.
In the embossed area there are (4) .250 diameter holes.  One in each corner.  I'm thinking they are for ventilation but I don't know what the need for ventilation would be.  Does anyone know the purpose for these holes?
Should I include these holes in the new liner?
Thanks for all the great post and responses on this site.
Thanks,
James

James when you get it done I would sure like to see it
and as far as the 4 holes, my Cav CSS80 has them.
And I think they where used for ventilation and
metal I would say yes do it.

I remade mine for my Cavalier 55. It was some kind of plastic that was busted on the bottom.  So i took the old one and made one on a CNC machine. You can't really tell a difference. Now it had some vent holes also. Let me know if you might need some help.
