Title: Jacobs 26
Post by: MCarter on March 14, 2008, 04:48:12 pm
Has anyone ever seen a Jacobs 26 with two coin slots?  Harrison had this shipped to me for him to pick up and we noticed two coin slots. It look like it has deposit 1 cent  slot then a 5 cent slot. Harrison said of all the Jacobs he has bought and seen.... This was a 1st one ever like this. Has anyone seen one?

Thanks for the photo's Mat. This hobby never ceases to amaze me. I have never
seen a double slot either. Looks like someone worked real hard to increase the revenue
to maybe a dime and a penny............... or 2 pennies or a nickel or even another dime.
Could a standard coin door have been put in a hydraulic press to make that neatly
formed indentation? A magnet will detect any bondo.  Has the coin chute been modified?
Is there any place to mount the second coin box?

If you look at the J-26 pic in the F.L. Jacobs section of the great big CC Cooler Service Manual (2 vol. green binder). It appears that the pic has the double coin slot, but there is no mention if a different rejector or mech in the parts list.
